DC. Armed with a masters degree in writing, she has ambitions of working for a major news publication.
But the job market is tight, and after a while Ventura realizes she can't be that picky. When she meets a
handsome young bachelor in need of a nanny, she thinks she's found a temporary solution. Little does
Ventura know, she's headed down a new path that will lead to more than she's ever hoped for.
Single dad Richard Blake is at his wits' end trying to secure help for his mischievous five-year-old twins.
Known as DC's most eligible bachelor, the entrepreneurial magazine editor never imagines he'll fall for
the one woman he's sure he can't have. She looks after his kids and has a boyfriend to boot. So his attraction
to her is beside the point. But when Ventura becomes enmeshed in his family and Richard finds himself losing
his heart, is there a way to secure a happy ending? It could all depend on a little bit of luck, and a whole lot
 of destiny.

~My review~
By Ana Rodriguez.
Once I started reading My Lucky Groom by author Ginny Baird, it was nearly impossible for me to put it down and stop reading.
This book is a short story in Ginny's Summer Grooms Series.( Book #2)
Back to my review. Ventura finds herself in Washington, DC. for an opportunity in finding a job in journalism because she has a master's degree in journalism. Leaving from home for the first time and feeling overwhelmed being on her own,Ventura felt a bit scared.
Being new to Washington and now sitting in a café were she was serviced by a waitress named Mary.
A clumsy accident in front of her taking place. Ventura hears a mans voice.
“I’m sorry! Are you all right?”, he asked.
Ventura nods her head completely taken off guard watching.
I found this scene a bit funny as I read it, I was laughing out loud as Mary the waitress shooed the man away from Ventura. Mary was being protective of Ventura. Girls have to stick together. Every character had a unique playing role in this story, that came perfectly.
The character I loved the most was Mary in this story. Mary was like Ventura’s savor taking her in and give her a place to live. I found Mary supporting role in guiding Ventura in any way needed.
Richard Blake a single father and a handsome bachelor in need of a nanny for his kids. Jason the assistant to Richard Blake.
Richard was very grateful to have Jason as an assistant and friend.
Jason would pick up some nanny duties in addition to his demanding job.
To me Ventura seemed a bit naive to the new world in Washington.
Her parents broken marriage pushed her on her new journey adventure in a new city, without a job.
Ventura had a job interview. As she looked at the map she had in her hand she knew she was lost. Ventura was not going to make her interview on time or at all.
“Need help?” a man’s voice asked.
“Richard!”
“So where you headed?”
“I have an interview on K Street.”
I found it funny on how Richard slipped in and told her he had an job opening at home.
Richard explained to Ventura he needed a nanny for his kids.
Ventura turned him down on his job offer.
After having no luck with any job at all Ventura swallows her pride and calls Richard for an interview.
Richard hires Ventura as his new nanny for his five year old twins, Ricky and Elisa.
Ventura’s adventure starts after that in her new nanny job.
Soon she learns Richard’s kids are no angels. Since it’s a short story I don’t want to give it away.
But just let me say that the attraction with Ventura and Richard blooms fully unto a great story.
It’s not every day that I come across a story that I absolutely can’t stop reading.
Having twins of my own as I read, I found myself smiling throughout the story and Ventura's adventures.I think Ginny Baird did great in writing out each character in this book.
While reading this story , I enjoyed on how real the story seemed.
Ventura’s fate was Richard and the love that blossomed was their fate. I finished reading this book with a smile on my face.
I recommend this book for any one up for a great love story.
You'll be happy you did. I was.

JUST IN "Finally Found " BY NICOLE ANDREWS MOORE

Finally Found

Finally Found

by
  ·   Where one story ends, often another begins. For some reason, Adam Davenport can’t see past the ending. The hit and run has forced him to slow down and stop running from the pain of losing his parents. He has tried to hide behind meaningless, superficial relationships and even more shallow friendships, but the time has come to face his loneliness. Now he is finally ready to start being a family with his brother Sam. However, Sam and Haley, who was once Sam’s personal assistant, are too busy basking in their newfound love. Though breaking the rules for the first time ever has changed Sam’s life for the better, Adam has always broken the rules, strayed from responsibility, and done as little as he could get away with.

One of the main reasons that he refused to believe that Cammie was more than friend material was because she was impervious to his charms. She was so driven and determined to make her new catering company a success that she couldn’t see past her own dreams. Suddenly, Adam found himself behaving in ways he never imagined. He was working to impress a woman, but more than that, he was working to help make her dreams come true. He soon realizes that there are times in life when giving is more important than taking and when helping someone else is more important than what that person can do to reciprocate. He also learns there are times that the biggest risk is to stop hiding from emotions and to start allowing love to finally be found.

Love Lust and the Longing for God

Love Lust and the Longing for God

by
·
In "The Secret of Emotions" Justice Saint Rain taught us how to understand the spiritual meaning behind our emotional sensations and gave us a whole new vocabulary for understanding the language of the heart. In "4 Tools of Emotional Healing" he used this language to explore the healing potential of Honesty, Forgiveness, Compassion and Faith and offered practical guidance as to how to apply them to our daily lives. In "Longing for Love" he turned his unique understanding of emotions to the question of how to find and nurture healthy relationships, while avoiding shame-based relationships and addictive or compulsive acting out. Now all three of these life-lessons are available in a single volume that will be equally useful for individuals trying to understand their life challenges and therapists trying to explain the subtleties of the healing process to their clients.
